Town of Kemijärvi on the Arctic Circle in Finland is a commercial centre for great variety of services, industry, commerce, agriculture and forest industry. There are 8500 inhabitants.
Rovaniemi and Kuusamo airports both are within short driving distance to Kemijärvi, where two major highways cross and the Finnish Railroads has its northernmost passenger terminal. The good transport connections provide excellent potential for industry, commerce and tourism. The town lies on the banks of river Kemijoki, where it widens into lake Kemijärvi, which both have for centuries been important routes for exchange of goods, people and ideas. Today the lake and river produce green energy and popular for recreation. Town has many different types of industry and services.
